Code of Conduct

All pilots who are part of our virtual airline will find themselves subject to this Code of Conduct document. This document remains supplementary to any applicable vAMSYS policies.

This Code of Conduct applies to, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Our website and vMonarch vAMSYS
  • Our Discord server
  • Social media
  • Any situation where vMonarch's reputation may be brought into disrepute as a result of violations of this Code of Conduct

Our Rules

Our Code of Conduct is very simple, with three core values at the heart of it all:

  1. Be kind to others
  2. Do not impersonate, or attempt to impersonate, other users or staff
  3. We do not care to police the content of messages, but any excessive profanity, illegal, racist, homophobic, pornographic or otherwise offensive content will be removed

All members are expected to abide by this conduct policy whenever there is a link to vMonarch or Virtual Monarch.

Policy Infringements

While we do not envisage having to take action against pilots, it is important that we set out guidance for staff to follow and pilots to have available if action is required.

All Staff, Senior Staff and members of the Leadership Team may investigate and impose relevant disciplinary action. Only Senior Staff may take permanent actions towards a pilot pursuant to this guideline.

Discord

For Discord violations, the following three-stage process will be followed in most circumstances:

  1. Formal warning noted in your pilot profile
  2. Temporary suspension of access to interact with our Discord server for a set period (a mute)
  3. Temporary removal of access to Discord (a kick, or a temporary ban that expires after a set period)
  4. Permanent removal of access to Discord (permanent ban)

Any permanent actions are unappealable but will be audited by the Leadership Team. Permanent actions may only be taken by Senior Staff members.

VA Conduct

For violations of the VA conduct policies or repeated/wilfull disregard for policies, the following actions may be taken:

  1. Invalidation of any associated PIREPs
  2. Formal warning
  3. Removal from VA*
  4. Ban from VA

*A removal from the VA does not have a minimum or maximum time. Your access to the virtual airline will be removed and may only be reinstated following a successful appeal to the vMonarch Leadership Team. A ban from the VA is a permanent action and will not be overturned. Certain issues may be reported to vAMSYS for further escalation and review.
