Flight Standards
All flights tracked using vAMSYS Pegaus will attract points that correlate to performance while flying the route. Bonus points may also be attained for flying in certain events that have been published on the vMonarch website and in Phoenix.
Minimum Flight Standards
All flights will be automatically reviewed against specific failure rules outlined by the virtual airline, which can be viewed in vAMSYS Phoenix.
Violation of the rules will lead to invalidation or rejection of the PIREP, which may result in the loss of hours and points for that sector if found to be correct.
All pilots must abide by the following flying standards:
- Time acceleration must not be used
- Fuel must not be increased mid-flight
- All landings must be under -750fpm
- The gear must be down for landing
- Liveries must be an approved Monarch Airlines design
- Flights must not be excessively long (in relation to the total planned flight time)
Any PIREP found to indicate a potential crash scenario will be invalidated. A crash is defined as:
- Runway excursion
- Sudden plummet to the ground
- Excessively hard landing rate
Staff will review each PIREP that triggers autoreject criteria. Staff will not routinely accept PIREPs that trigger the autoreject criteria but will approve them if it appears that an error in the tracking has occurred.
Pausing during a flight is permitted within vMonarch, subject to other regulations if flying online. The use of holds as an alternative to pausing your flight is discouraged and may trigger autoreject rules.
PIREP Statuses
PIREPs will meet one of four statuses. Each status has a corresponding meaning:

| Invalidated | No hours or points awarded |
If a PIREP is marked as "Reply Needed" in Phoenix, the pilot must enter a comment. It will then be reviewed by staff.
Staff will always comment on rejected or invalidated PIREPs with a reason. Pilots are permitted to appeal this decision in Discord by opening a ticket.
Realism
All pilots are required to operate their flights with due regard to realism. Simply put, this means that aircraft must be suitable for the arrival/departure airports and flights are conducted in a realistic manner.
PIREPs will be randomly selected to undergo a manual review as part of a quality assurance check by the operations team.
Manual PIREPs
Manual PIREPs are permitted. We have all forgotten to start our flight tracker in the past! These should not be used routinely, but as a backup if you forget to start your tracker.
All manual PIREPs must include a link to an appropriate source of evidence. This could be from using Volanta or VATSIM Stats.
Staff will not award any flight points for any manually submitted PIREP, but the hours will still count towards your progression within vMonarch.
